Center Point

How to center the start point on a 22W Creality Falcon2 Laser Engraver.

I designed this simple shape because I was having trouble with Start From, Center Position on my 22W Creality Falcon 2 in LightBurn. I engraved this target at about 20mm to test my ability to center on a point. Later, I designed the Laser Laser Pointer Mount to add a cheap laser pointer to my machine and then I tested with this design again and got much closer results.

Instructions

• Open this file in LightBurn
• Set the speed and power for your engraver¹
• Set Start From to Current Position
• Set the Job Origin to the center
• Save the design as G-Code (if you're using an SD Card or USB Stick)
• Center the laser head over the center point
• Turn the engraver on
• Press the Frame button on the front of the machine
• Press the Play button on the front of the machine

¹I set mine to a speed of 15,000 mm/m and power of 80% and then engraved the design onto a piece of corrugated cardboard.
